I’m at the inaugural World Series of Poker Asia Pacific tourney in Melbourne Australia this week going for Bracelet #14!!

This tournament marks the first time in the history of the WSOP that bracelets are being awarded outside of the US or Europe.  329 players, 5 bracelet events, all at the stellar Crown Casino in the heart of Melbourne.  World-class!

Event #1 (NL Hold’em Accumulator) started Thursday.  Unique event – everyone plays 3 “Day 1’s” (starting days) and keeps ALL chips from each of those 3 days for “Day 2”.  NOT the run of the mil strategy!  Solid Day 1, ended with $20,600 and never all in (can’t go broke!), and I’ve got 2 more days to add to my total.  Event wraps up on Monday, April 8th with the first ever WSOP APAC gold bracelet.

Check back here for updates and catch the final tables for each event live on WSOP.com.
