Derby Week 2013
It’s officially Kentucky Derby week, and I’m ready to spend some of my hard-earned $$$. For me, Derby week means a limo 24/7, black tie, charity events, Millionaires Row, VIP lists and police escorts. Nice life!
On Wednesday I had the pleasure of meeting and hanging out with world-class horse trainer Bob Baffert and his wife at the “Trackside” event at Churchill Downs.

Saddened this weekend to hear about the passing of Lakers owner, Jerry Buss. He was a phenomenal man and a great limit Hold’em player. He held his own against the BEST in the world. In 1997, I found myself at Lakers Training Camp in Hawaii with Shaq, Kobe Bryant, Johnny Chan, Buss, and others. We played $400-$800 Hold’em in Jerry’s Presidential Suite at the Prince Hotel. Chan and I lost $35,000 each, and Jerry won $70,000!

Tiger’s New Shoe
My friend Tiger Woods has had a long partnership with Nike, and he just kicked it up a notch with a new golf shoe called TW ’13. Tiger has been wearing a prototype of this special lightweight shoe since 2011, but no matter what I said, he would never give me a pair. Aloha, Nanea!
Earlier this month I was in Kailua Kona, Hawaii, playing at the Nanea Golf Course. It’s a private course that feels like it’s in the middle of paradise. I didn’t win as MUCH $$$ as I should have, but I did ok. Even better than playing was relaxing at my friend’s beautiful compound, overlooking the ocean.
